What is written on a clove sack.

Clove gardens on Ternate and Tidore dry their buds on village floors before the trader buys. We record each sack's garden, drying days and weight, so a buyer knows the cloves are whole and dried.

  1. Garden lot

    Each sack names the garden and the village it came from.

  2. Drying days

    Drying days are logged so the buyer knows the buds dried whole.

  3. Scale check

    The trader's scale weight and the garden's weight are both written on the line.
